Pregnant Virgins never played a proper venue; a skate park, a bedroom, a bookstore, the Fine Arts building of a community college. —I’m selling this collage I did for an art show at The Smell. It’s about the loss of the Self. It’s about WANTING to lose yourself; to be a pig and roll around in your own emotional filth. Compulsive indulgence of pornography (gonzo, creep shots, webcam sex) becomes a sort of rite. In modern Christian circles, pornography is seen as something that can open portals to alien or demon worlds and there’s no guarantee you’ll come back the same.
The piece is called “Liminality.” It’s black and white, xeroxed on Ultra White paper. $10ppd. Only one copy was made.
